RCC Info: The Redmond Cycling Club is a group of individuals joined together for inspiration, camaraderie, and enjoyment through challenging cycling. Share the Experience! When was the last time you said "I have all this expensive equipment but I just don't ride it enough?" Sometimes what you need is a good riding partner. Next time you feel that moment of under-motivation think about joining RCC. Come out on a Winter Gourmet ride for a social morning brunch or enjoy the wildflower scenery while riding through a mountain pass. Share your favorite routes and get inspired again! Rides RCC offers rides that cover the spectrum of cycling, from casual social jaunts to the most challenging ultramarathons to be found in the Northwest. Some are organized as regular series, such as RAMROD training rides, while others are offered at the whimsy of the ride leader, like Don's End of the Year Century. Whatever your tastes, there is a ride for you. RCC offers a number of rides for club members which have become annual events. A perennial spring favorite is the ride to Mazama, a fully supported tour through the North Cascades to the Methow Valley and back over two days. The early Fall weekend in the Leavenworth area is a recent addition that we plan to make an annual event. There are many experienced tourists in the club who plan longer tours with fellow club members each year. RCC produces three special rides which are open to the public. Of these the premier event is the Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day, or RAMROD. Created for the cyclist who aspires to a higher plane of endeavor, physically and aesthetically, RAMROD is a challenging event of 154 miles with 10,000 feet of climbing through Mount Rainier's incomparable scenery. The Cannonball 300 is a triple century that guarantees to give you a new perspective on Washington's scenery. Ride from Seattle to Spokane along the I-90 corridor in the heat of summer, with over 9,000 feet of climbing, and enter the Ultra(marathoner)Limits! S2S is also a triple century between Seattle and Spokane, but it follows the more scenic, hilly and challenging route via US Highway 2.
