RAMROD Registration

Registration information for the 2011 RAMROD event will be made available early next year.

The total rider fee for 2010 will remain at $80 and plus the active.com registration processing fee is of $7.19. There is a $5 registration fee (plus $1.32 for active.com) that is non-refundable for those not selected in the lottery. (See below for details.)

Registration was from March 1-31, 2010 and is now closed. All entrants were notified of their status by email one week after the lottery. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR SPAM FILTER BLOCKS YOUR NOTIFICATION EMAIL. If you are selected, you will return to Active.com at which time you will complete your registration.

If you are not selected and you checked the appropriate box when you registered with Active.com, you may be on the Wait List. If for some reason a selected rider is unable to ride, the next person on the Wait List will be offered the slot. (Last year over 250 riders on the Wait List were given the opportunity to get a ticket for the ride though some were given this chance at the last minute.) This is another frequent question from riders. After considerable reflection, we have decided to stay with the "no transfers" policy. If you are selected by the lottery and are unable to ride, please e-mail the RAMROD Registrar at as soon as possible so we may offer your ticket to someone on the wait list. This is only if we can find a rider to purchase your returned ticket. Refunds are not guaranteed after July 15, 2010, but e-mail us and we will attempt to sell your ticket to the wait list. There will be no refunds for cancellations after July 20th.

Remember: The total fees are $80 for the ride and $7.19 for Active.com. Refunds on returned tickets will be for the $55 ($80 less a $25 handling fee). There is no refund on the active.com fees.

This is probably our most frequent request from riders. Unfortunately, because of potential abuse, we are not able to offer buddy or group registrations.

We will allow tandems to register together. You will be registering as a tandem and paying a single $160 fee plus the $14.38 Active.com fee for two riders. IMPORTANT: If you register as a tandem, YOU MUST RIDE A TANDEM. Tandems will receive one bib number and MUST check-in at the Start line before starting the RAMROD course or risk being blacklisted. Your registration will not be valid for a single bike. Violators of this tandem policy risk being blacklisted.

If you earned a bypass to the RAMROD 2010 lottery for your volunteer work in 2009, you are still required to register and pay for the ride. Assuming you register within the time limit, your name will automatically be selected, thus by-passing the lottery. Volunteers who earned a by-pass should receive a notification from RCC prior to March 1. If you do not, please please email the Volunteer Coordinator at
